Philadelphia Youth Football Academy
Philadelphia YouthFootball Academy

Our organization was originally founded in 2017, under the name Philadelphia Public League Sports. Our name later changed to Leaders In Training Sports Mentoring Program and our focus was on athletics and mentoring. After realization that our focus should be flag football enrichment, we changed our name to the Philadelphia Youth Football Academy in 2020. PYFA became an incorporated non-profit in 2021. PYFA goals area to empower and mentor Philadelphia youth ages 14 to 18, through academic, social, and athletic enrichment. Our founder, Eugene Pough, a Philadelphia native, knew first hand the benefit and discipline mentoring provided for his life as a teenager. Thus, he created a program which enables youth to constructively channel their aggression through flag football; while growing and developing their knowledge and skills in the areas of sport management, academic enrichment and non-traditional learning, mentoring, career and skill assessment, planning and interpersonal relationships.
