Philadelphia Youth Football Academy was created in 2020, after Eugene Pough, an alum from John Bartram High Schools decided to dedicate a youth development program strictly to assist at-risk and underserved youth in Philadelphia.
"PYFA" is a organization that was founded to empower and mentor Philadelphia youth ages 14 to 18, attending Philadelphia high schools. The founder, Eugene Pough, a Philadelphia native , knew first hand the benefit and discipline mentoring provided for his life as a teenager. He created a program which enables youth to constructively channel their aggression; while growing and developing their knowledge and skills in the areas of sport journalism, sport photography, sport management, career and skill assessment, planning and interpersonal relationships.
