President: Vonkurt Redley, M.A. Candidate
Vonkurt is a current Social Studies Educator with the School District of Philadelphia. He taught at New Media Technology, Mastery Charter and Audenried High Schools in Philadelphia from September 2006 to April 2016. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Education from Cabrini University's Graduate School of Education in May of 2020. As an urban educator, Vonkurt has experienced meeting the needs of diverse learners. At Roosevelt Elementary School, he currently teachers students with a wide variety of learning needs and he is dedicating himself to making his lessons accessible to all students. Vonkurt also ran track and field while attending Kutztown University. He ran the 110 Meter hurdles, 400 meter hurdles, and the 4x400 meter relay. Vonkurt is currently the Head Track Coach and Basketball Coach at Roosevelt Elementary. His athletes competed in the 2017 and 2018 Penn Relays, receiving a third place medal in the heavily competitive middle school division the MPAA Sports Program and Middle School Track Club.
Mr. Scott Charles, Trauma Outreach Coordinator and Director of the Cradle to Grave Program Temple University Hospital, Scott is the Trauma Outreach Coordinator for Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and is Director of TUH's Cradle to Grave Program, an award-winning hospital-based violence prevention initiative that illustrates the harsh realities of gun violence for public school students and adjudicated youth.
Mr. Christopher Signil,, Attorney, Esquire, Christopher Signil is an aggressive advocate who prioritizes protecting the interests of his clients and fighting for justice. Mr. Signil has spent nearly all of his life in public service, community outreach and ministry. He remains committed to finding the best possible outcomes for his clients. His unique blend of technical proficiency and tenacity, helps guide his clients through the often complicated and convoluted legal process. Chris is also a minister, who finds joy in bringing healing, hope and encouragement to others.In his spare time Christopher enjoys riding his motorcycle, writing books, traveling, and going to sports events.
Dr. Mark Still, Adjunct Professor, Sport Management, Delaware State University
Dr. Still has been an instructor in the Sport Management department for 15 years. In his years of service in the department it has become a popular major for African American males (90% African American male). In his position it gives him a unique opportunity to not only educate and interact with African American males as an instructor but also as a mentor, brother, advisor (for academic/personal issues) and friend of their family.
